HP-UX - Configure APA failover group using SMH

NOTE: These instructions are for creating a failover group. HP APA provides other aggregate options. Detailed information about those options and how to configure those groups is available in the HP Auto Port Aggregation Administrator's Guide: HP-UX 11i v3.
1, Invoke HP SMH.

2, Type n' for the Networking and Communications section.
3, Type i for the Network Interfaces Configuration subsection.
4, Type a for the Auto Port Aggregation subsection.
5, Type Ctrl+o for more options and then C to Create Failover Group.
6, Scroll down/up with the UP and DOWN keys and select the Interfaces you want to add on you APA with the Space key.
7, Once all the Interfaces have been selected review the rest of the opcions and modify if needed and continue to scroll untill you find the [ OK ] button and press Enter to generate the new APA Instance.
NOTE: Refer to "Configuring a Failover Group" in the HP Auto Port Aggregation Administrator's Guide: HP-UX 11i v3 for more detail regarding the configuration of a failover group.
NOTE: An Operation Successful page will be displayed.
8, Click OK to return to the Auto Port Aggregation page.
NOTE: The new failover group will be displayed. At this point no IP address is assigned to the group.
9, If VLAN tagging is used on this group, stop here and follow the instructions for adding a VLAN interface.
10, Scroll down to select the failover group from the list pane on the Auto Port Aggregation main page and hit Enter.
11, Type p to View/Modify IP Attributes. The View/Modify Attributes page is displayed.
NOTE: Do not set the IP address if VLAN tagging is needed on the failover group.
12, Modify the necessary IPv4 attributes.
Select the Configuration Options you want.
13, Scroll down and hit Enter on [OK] to save the settings. A message will tell you that the IP attributes have been modified successfully.
NOTE: The Auto Port Aggregation main page will be displayed and the new IP attributes will appear.
