HP Cluster Extension (CLX) is a host-based software that seamlessly integrates array-based remote mirroring and high-availability server clustering solutions. CLX enables full-site automated failover operations by synchronizing server cluster failover with replication management for a disaster tolerance solution. CLX offers protection against application downtime from fault, failure, or site disaster by extending a local cluster between data centers over metropolitan distance.

CLX reinstates critical applications at a remote site within minutes or seconds after an adverse event.
