I have a case that has a 3GB SAS interconnect module connected to an MDS600.

Inside the OA we can get to the Virtual SAS Manager software via the management link.

They have assigned an IP address to the switch as well through the software.

However, in the EBIPA settings it is not enabled and is showing current address of 169.x.x.x.

Any idea on how to get it to report properly to the OA because they are trying to manage the switch with SIM and when we discover the OA it brings in the 169.x.x.x address.

In SIM when we discover the proper ip address it shows up as expected but is not associated with the enclosure in SIM as the OA thinks it is at 169.x.x.x for an ip address.

Any thoughts/suggestions are appreciated.

This is addressed in firmware 2.2.17 for the switch and allows SIM to see the correct address.

However be aware that with the updated firmware the SAS manager wont launch from the OA console and you will need to enter the IP address manually instead of using the hyperlink if you are implementing VLAN on the OA
