Does anyone know if VT-x is enabled the BIOS by default?
And where can I find the latest Gen8 BIOS manual?

Latest version of the RBSU UG can be found here

Under the “Gen8” tab, scroll down to the “General Reference” section.
Intel Virtualization Technology is enabled by default (see page 21).
