The AHS Viewer simplifies the ProLiant Gen8 support experience and the delivery process from customer issue to resolution. AHS is the approved ISS go forward plan for all system logging and debugging needs for ProLiant Gen8 products.

The HP Active Health System provides the following features:

The HP Active Health System monitors and records changes in the server hardware, software and system configuration. The Active Health System collects the following types of data:

iLO Events

The AHS Viewer is a Windows-based application that translates Active System Health logs into a human readable format (similar to how Adobe Acrobat makes PDF files readable). AHS logs can be downloaded through Integrated Lights-Out (iLO), Intelligent Provisioning, or AHS download CLI.

The AHS Viewer displays the following:

HW/FW Device Summary - Make/Model, Serial Number, SKU, BIOS/ROM versions, Operating System versions, iLO versions, Power Supply (capacity, option #, S/P #), Storage Devices
System - AHS Media Information, Applications, BMC FRU Data, CMOS, Drivers, Embedded Media Information, Engineering Logs, Environment Variables, HPSUM logs, NVRAM, OCSD, Onboard Devices, Ports, Post Codes, Services, SMBIOS Records, OS Updates
iLO - version, configuration files
Processors - Version, Speed, Core Count, Cache
Memory - Socket, Size, Speed, Error counters, DIMM type & technology, plus raw SPD and Microcontroller Register data
Network Adapters - Available in a future release
