HP PDU 综述六PDU管理模块
HP PDU Management Module
一个PDU监控管理模块，是配合HP的可监控管理的PDU一起来使用，说简单点就是把可监控管理的PDU上带的串口转换成RJ-45口连接到网络上。但这个东西有自己的小型OS，可以通过WEB界面打开，并且可以利用其邮件功能发送邮件及短消息，这对于想及时了解电源异常状况的情况下，很有帮助！

不仅如此，此模块还可以通过如下方式进行访问：
1. Web浏览器
2. Telnet应用程序
3. 超级终端程序
不仅如此，此模块还可以和HP SIM（System Insight Manager）配合使用，以及通过SNMP能力的一切管理平台配合使用，从而发挥强大管理能力，当然还是建议和HP的管理平台配合使用，无论是使用免费的SIM或是收费的Openview，因为这些都是HP的产品，这样HP的技术人员才能支持，虽然在中国国内这方面的支持很少，至少还能有！如果选择和其他的管理平台配合使用的话，就需要使用者有足够的能力对发生的问题进行解决。否则将会陷入两难境地。
此产品在最初的使用，要先做IP的配置，配置IP方法：
无论使用那种超级终端，设置如下：
代码： 全选
Bit per second : 38400
( When you operate the management module in Serial Pass Through mode, set the Bits per second option to 2400。)
Data bits : 8
Parity : none
Stop bits : 1
Flow control : none将DIP开关1放在Off的位置上
按PDU的Reset键
按Management Module的Reset键
上述两个Reset键必须在2分钟内完成，否则不启作用

Please place both switches on the HP PDU Management Module into the up position.
Once done, hit enter to restart the card.

当配置完毕后，确认可以从网络上ping通，并且可以使用浏览器登陆，即验证成功！然后需要：
将DIP开关1放在Off的位置上
将DIP开关1放在Off的位置上
按PDU的Reset键
按Management Module的Reset键
上述两个Reset键必须在2分钟内完成，否则不启作用
上面的所有针对管理模块和PDU的Reset键操作，不影响PDU电源的正常输出，但毕竟是电源操作，如果没有十分的把握还是不要在服务器等设备正在服务的时候进行，以免造成服务器等网络设备意外断电
另外，一个管理模块可以通过随设备带的串口线连接多个PDU，形成菊花链的管理关系，但不知道超过2个PDU是否增加了管理难度或者有其他的一些管理限制。
