what is difference both of LP156WF3 SLB1 and SLB3?

first of all, i'm sorry for writing in english because i can't speak and write to chinese language.

currently, i would like to replace the panel of my laptop for 8540w dreamcolor ver. it is installed with LP156WF3 SLB1.
i know that there are three panel of LP156WF3 Series, SLB1,SLB2,SLB3. one month ago, i attempted to replace the panel of SLB1 to SLB2.

as a result, both are equal. but slb2 didn't works the HP MDA(mobile display assistant).
therefore, slb2 can not use the functions of adjust the brightness and change the color gamut.

finally, i have a plan to replace the panel as slb3 version.
but if slb3 is equal such as slb1 and slb2l, i'll give up this works.

are there improved things on SLB3?

i'll very appreciate for any advices by you guys.

i can not write english well but advise as below,

i know that there's no LP156WF3-SLB2 used on 8560w or 8540w. there're only SLB1 on 8540w and SLB1&SLB3 on 8560w.

Somebody already verified SLB3 can be used on 8540w.

The improvement of SLB1 to SLB3 may be mainly on the screen tech apply.
And the 210 nits creates to 300 nits, but power cost may be lower due to new screen tech.
SLB3 uses new AH-IPS, Advanced High Performance In-Plane Switching.

in this site somewhere, i was also read the article that slb3 may be made by ah-ips technology.
the one thing certain is 8760w dreamcolor is dc3 and it improved the brightness +90cd compare with previous generation(dc2). but it increased the black point(negative thing) and somewhat decreased viewing angle and decreased contrast :X

in case of the 8760w dreamcolor, it described on specification manual .

but in case of 8560w(LP156WF3 SLB1 or SLB3)dreamcolor, the specification is equal with 8540w dc2 one.

There is no such thing called DC3. It is true that the current generation HP Elitebook workstations use different panels compared with the past generation, but the mechanism behind should be the same: color mapping board+10-bit IPS panel.
It is true that brightness has increased a lot while the power consumptions remain the same, this is due to the advance in panels not that HP designed a new generation of DreamColor display.

SLB2 was used for PremiereColor for Dell M4600. For brightness, it's kind between SLB1 and SLB3. Connecter-wise, they are interchangeable

you are right. there is no dreamcolor3 technology officially from hp. i just said it in order to classification between two of the screen.
as you said, it's advanced by LG,not HP's technology.

according to my experience for replaced slb2, it was look like somewhat cool for the white point but the value of max brightness can't verified due to HP MDA didn't worked on 8540w with slb2. i can not to see it as max brightness. therefore it couldn't measured by colorimeter of mine(HP Dreamcolor calibrator, KZ300AA)

if slb2 worked the HP MDA, i may have used it. thank you for the advice heng8866 X.)
